Yoga
and Pilates are both wonderful forms of exercise for the
body. The word "Yoga"
means "union" - as in the union of mind, body, and
spirit. Yoga is an exceptional
exercise/lifestyle that promotes health and
longevity. Yoga builds stretch, flexibility,
and endurance. Yoga is a well rounded exercise
program that typically satisfies the goals of any
fitness program. Pilates is a more intense and
straining on the body. The goal of pilates
exercises are to strengthen the abdominals, improve
posture, stabilize and lengthen the spine, improve
balance and overall strength. Pilates gives you a
longer, leaner, dancer-like line.
